Provided is a grounding ring which is simple in structure and of which a bare metal portion can be covered conveniently, so that the case of short circuit caused by the lapping of wet branches is effectively prevented. The grounding ring comprises a grounding ring body. The grounding ring body comprises a metal conductor and an insulation sheath. The insulation sheath covers the metal conductor. The bottom edge of the grounding ring body is bare and is a grounding section. The grounding ring further comprises a switch-type protection mechanism. The switch-type protection mechanism is arranged on the insulation sheath and is used for covering or exposing the grounding section. The grounding ring is convenient to operate, wide in adaptability, and high in reliability.
