A bearing seal is provided which can be easily fitted into a seal groove formed in an outer race, and be kept firmly mounted to the outer race. First detent ribs (44) and second detent ribs (45) are formed on both surfaces of one side of a seal base plate (42) made of rubber and having the shape of a stripe. When one side of the seal base plate (42) is fitted into the seal groove (3) formed in the inner diameter surface of the outer race (1), the first and second detent ribs (44), (45) come into elastic contact with the side surfaces (3a, 3b) of the seal groove (3), respectively, so as to prevent the bearing seal from being pulled out of the seal groove (3). Thus, it is possible to keep the bearing seal stably mounted to the outer race.
