The invention provides a power tool comprising a housing, a motor contained inside the housing, and an output rod driven by the motor through a transformation mechanism. The transmission mechanism comprises a motion transformation mechanism. The motion transformation mechanism operably drives the output rod to work in a first motion mode outputting reciprocating motions and to work in a second motion mode outputting rotation motions. The output rod extends longitudinally and is of a central line. The power tool further comprises a supporting element having a supporting surface. The supporting element is movably connected with the housing and is able to move between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the supporting surface presses against a workpiece; and in the second position, the supporting face does not press against the workpiece. The position of the supporting element can be adjusted by the operator as need, accordingly meeting different requirements of the power tool to press against the workpiece under different working conditions, thereby providing great convenience to the use of the power tool.
