The invention provides a relay clamping and positioning conveying mechanism. According to the technical scheme, sliding blocks are arranged below a bottom plate, the lower portions of the sliding blocks are connected with linear guide rails in a sliding mode, and a ball screw parallel to the linear guide rails is arranged on one sliding block. The bottom plate is fixedly connected with a lower pressing plate through a plurality of stand columns, and the stand columns are perpendicular to the bottom plate and the lower pressing plate. An air cylinder is arranged below the lower pressing plate. The lower pressing plate is fixedly connected with a top plate through a plurality of guide pillars, and the guide pillars are perpendicular to the lower pressing plate and the top plate. The guide pillars are provided with an upper sliding block which is connected with the guide pillars in a sliding mode through linear bearings. The upper sliding block is in transmission connection with the air cylinder. The relay clamping and positioning conveying mechanism has the advantages that manpower is not needed for conveying, conveying is conducted totally through an automatic machine, and the loss of labor is greatly reduced. The problem that after a reed weaving machine discharges reeds, the reeds cannot be conveyed in time or too many reeds are accumulated is solved, energy consumption is effectively reduced, and the working efficiency is greatly improved.
