The invention discloses a hoop type clamping device comprising hoops and a tightening bolt for connecting the hoops together. Each hoop is formed by pivoting of a plurality of arc-shaped hoop pieces which are in up-down symmetry and are hinged through a plurality of hinge connecting pins. The arc-shaped hoop pieces encircle a hoop claw to form a circular-ring-shaped hinge. A threaded hole is formed in a trunnion of the hinge connecting pin at one end of each hoop, and the tightening bolt is connected into the threaded holes in a threaded manner. The hoop claw is provided with a plurality of arc-shaped jaws which are connected with the inner walls of the hoop pieces to form a circular tube structure capable of being matched with a pipeline. The hoop type clamping device has the advantages that structure is simple, uniform pressure distribution of the to-be-connected pipeline can be achieved, stress is reasonable and the problem of deformation of a pipeline joint due to ultrahigh intensity of pressure is solved; the pipeline can be clamped through connection via the tightening bolt, so that mounting workload and mounting cost are greatly lowered.
