The invention relates to a method for performing strip steel error correction on an automatic error correcting device on a loop door of a strip continuous operation unit. The method comprises the following steps: performing automatic detection on the edge of strip steel through four diffuse reflection photoelectric switches; transmitting a strip steel position signal to a logical controller; analyzing the position information of the strip steel through the logical controller; transmitting a control signal to an electric control system to control a transmission side cylinder and/or a working side cylinder to act in order to control a transmission side carrier roller and/or a working side carrier roller on the loop door to move along a strip steel advancing direction till the middle axis of the transmission side carrier roller is parallel to the middle axis of the working side carrier roller; applying consistent side thrust to the strip steel in the same direction through the transmission side cylinder and/or the working side cylinder in order to increase lateral force for controlling a loop to correct errors automatically and realize automatic error correction of the strip steel position. According to the method, the error correction force on the lower surface of the strip steel is multiplied by forming a beeline form through the carrier roller on a corresponding side, and the strip steel is rapidly driven to move transversely, so that a very remarkable error correction effect is achieved.
