A bogie for a railway vehicle is provided with: a bolster (20)(frame body) which is located below the vehicle body of the railway vehicle; air springs (22) which have air spring bodies (60) for containing air therein and which are disposed between the vehicle body and the bolster (20); coiled springs (80)(elastic members) which are disposed between the bolster (20) and the air springs (22) and which, in a state in which the height of the vehicle body is maintained at a specific height independent of the air springs (22), separate the bolster (20) and the air springs (22) from each other by the restoring force of the coiled springs (80); and a restriction member (82) which restricts the amount of separation between the bolster (20) and the air springs (22) by restricting the amount of displacement of the coiled springs (80).
