The invention discloses a self-propelled intelligent remotely-controlled thermal sprayer comprising a chassis drive portion, a thermal spraying portion, an intelligent control portion and a remote control portion. The thermal spraying portion is mounted on a frame of the chassis drive portion. The intelligent control portion comprises an image acquisition device, a range sensor and a controller; the image acquisition device is mounted on the frame and used for acquiring video about running conditions of the chassis drive portion; the range sensor is mounted on the frame and used for detecting a real-time running distance between the chassis drive portion and an obstacle; the controller is connected with the range sensor and the chassis drive portion; the controller is used for controlling the chassis drive portion to steer according to a preset safety running distance and the detected real-time running distance; the controller is connected with the thermal spraying portion and used for controlling the thermal spraying portion to perform thermal spraying; the remote control portion is in communicating connection with the image acquisition device and the controller in a wireless manner.
