提供一种二环氧化合物，其可以通过进行聚合而形成具有优异的耐热性、且即使暴露于高温环境下也能够维持优异的机械特性的具有热稳定性的固化物。本发明的饱和二环氧化合物用下述式(1)表示，可以通过将下述式(2)表示的不饱和二环氧化合物的不饱和键进行氢化来制造。下述式中，R1～R20为各自独立的基团，相同或不同，表示氢原子、甲基或乙基。

Provided is a diepoxy compound which is capable of forming, by polymerization, a cured product that has thermal stability and excellent heat resistance and is able to maintain excellent mechanical characteristics even if exposed to a high-temperature environment. A saturated diepoxy compound of the present invention is represented by formula (1) and is able to be produced by hydrogenating an unsaturated bond of an unsaturated diepoxy compound represented by formula (2). In the formulae, R1-R20 are groups independent from each other, and may be the same as or different from each other; and each of R1-R20 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or an ethyl group.
