The present invention is a blow molded container which comprises (A) a layer that is mainly composed of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, and which is characterized in that the layer (A) contains an unsaturated aldehyde and the content of the unsaturated aldehyde in the layer (A) is from 0.01 ppm to 100 ppm (inclusive). It is preferable that the unsaturated aldehyde (II) is an unsaturated aliphatic aldehyde. It is also preferable that the unsaturated aldehyde (II) is composed of at least one substance that is selected from the group consisting of crotonaldehyde, 2, 4-hexadienal and 2, 4, 6-octatrienal. It is also preferable that the layer (A) contains a conjugated polyene compound and the content of the conjugated polyene compound in the layer (A) is from 0.01 ppm to 1,000 ppm (inclusive).
