The invention provides a dendrobium candidum compound preparation, a preparation method thereof, and an application thereof in preparation of drugs or health-caring products for promoting sleep. The compound preparation is composed with dendrobium candidum and gastrodia elata as main components matched with medicines comprising platycladi seeds, spina date seeds, caulis polygoni multiflori, fructus lycii and the like. The main components and the medicines are parepared into a powder, an extract or a preparation which is prepared with addition of pharmaceutically acceptable auxiliary materials or auxiliary ingredients. The dendrobium candidum compound preparation can effectively promote sleep, can improve sleep status, can enhance immunity, is definite in curative effects, is free of addiction and dependence and is free of toxic and side effects.
