A thermal conductive sheet of which the porosity is sufficiently reduced and which exhibits excellent flexibility and thermal conductivity in the plane direction is provided. Said thermal conductive sheet is produced by employing a method which involves: preparing a starting material component (27) containing plate-like boron nitride particles (23) and a polymer matrix (24); forming a long sheet (20) from the starting material component (27) by means of a calender (1); and pressing the long sheet (20). As a consequence, the thermal conductive sheet is produced with excellent production efficiency while effectively preventing the plate-like boron nitride particles (23) from being crushed.
