A device for controlling an opening/closing body for a vehicle, provided with: a driving part configured to drive the opening/closing body of the vehicle; an operation input part operated so as to open or close the opening/closing body; an operation input sensor for sensing the operation input performed on the operation input part; a controller for controlling the driving part on the basis of the sensing of the operation input; and a measurement part for measuring the time for which the operation input is maintained. The controller is configured so as to be capable of controlling the driving part in the driving mode selected from amongst a plurality of driving modes to which are set different speeds of actuation of the opening/closing body, and so as to switch, if the time for which the operation input is maintained exceeds a predetermined time, the driving mode to a high speed actuation mode in which the actuation speed is faster than that in the driving mode prior to the predetermined time being exceeded.
