Belonging to the technical field of biomass energy, the invention in particular relates to a detoxification treatment-free cellulosic ethanol production method. The method comprises the steps of: pre-impregnation, steam explosion pretreatment, and simultaneous saccharification and fermentation. The method is characterized in that the strain used in the simultaneous saccharification and fermentation step undergoes acclimation and cultivation, i.e. the strain is acclimated and cultured in hydrolysate subjected to steam explosion pretreatment. The method has a simple process, avoids adding of more chemical reagents or other high energy consumption operation, shortens the production cycle, and simultaneously lowers the production cost of cellulosic ethanol.
