A plating layer (4) is formed on the surface of a battery cover (3), and a peripheral portion (37b) of a cover case (37) is arranged on the upper surface of the plating layer (4). The front end portion of the peripheral portion (37b) is provided with a welding portion (40). The welding portion (40) has a melted portion (41), which is the melted front end of the peripheral portion (37b), and a run portion (42), which is a portion flowed over the plating layer (4) from the front end. The melted portion (41) and the run portion (42) is welded to the plating layer (4) on the upper surface of the plating layer (4).
