The invention relates to a portable power tool comprising at least one handle unit (12a; 12b). The battery pack receiving unit is arranged for receiving a removable battery pack unit (20a; 20b). It is suggested by the invention that the battery pack receiving unit (18a; 18b) comprises at least one battery receiving portion (22a; 22b) arranged in an internal area (24a) of the main handle (14a) or an internal area (24b) of the arched handle (16a).
