The invention discloses a data analysis method used for, when an object to be tested or data read from the object to be tested is retrieved and written in a logical analyser, analysing the retrieved data, and the data contains a plurality of packets. The data analysis method comprises the following steps of: establishing a database at first, and the database contains a plurality of groups of data sequences and a plurality of groups of semantic information corresponding to the data sequences; then selecting the decoding means of a communication protocol corresponding to the object to be tested, retrieving at least one packet by the logical analyser, and interpreting the retrieved packet by the selected decoding means to obtain one data sequence; then searching the database, selecting the semantic information corresponding to the obtained data sequence in the database, and displaying the selected semantic information on a display device.
