The invention discloses a method for controlling strip steel head stability during hot rolling. The method includes the steps that (100) velocity deviation of guide wheels on two sides at an inlet can be measured when a current rack bites steel; (200) time of leveling action of the current rack on a strip steel head is locked; (300) calculated head leveling amount of the current rack is obtained; (400) the obtained calculated head leveling amount is compared with adjusting amplitude limit to determine actual leveling amount; (500) leveling operation is performed on roll gaps of the current rack according to the actual leveling amount. By means of the method for controlling strip steel head stability during hot rolling, deflected strip steel head can be automatically corrected, and thereby, the strip steel head can be stabilized.
