The method involves assembling a sealed functional module, where the module includes a tube (7), an axle (8), a sealing joint (5) i.e. O-ring and a return spring (3) placed between a fixed stop element and a movable stop element. The sealed functional module is assembled to a housing (100). A push button head (1) is assembled to the sealed functional module. The tube is screwed into the housing by outside during the assembly of the module by a rotational driving unit arranged on the tube. The push button head is screwed to an element secured to an axis. An independent claim is also included for a modular push button.
