In order to suppress a reduction in power generation efficiency while being attached to a living body to thereby ensure a desired power generation capacity, a thermal power generation portable device (10) is attached to a living body, is able to generate power by the heat of the living body, and is provided with: a thermal power generation member (20) which generates power on the basis of the temperature difference between a temperature at a heat source-side position and a temperature at a heat release destination-side position between the living body that is a heat source and a heat release destination of heat released from the thermal power generation portable device (10), and a movable member (22) which is able to change the thermal resistance of at least part of a heat transfer path between the living body and the heat release destination. The movable member (22) is rotatable about a rotating shaft (22a) or movable in a sliding manner in a predetermined direction, and is able to change the thermal resistance of at least part of the heat transfer path by the presence or absence of interference with the heat transfer path or the change of the position of the interference with the heat transfer path accompanying the rotation or the movement in the sliding manner.
