The invention relates to a low-angle annular infrared LED (light emitting diode) array sensor and belongs to the technical field of photoelectric detection. The low-angle annular infrared LED array sensor comprises an infrared LED emitting array, an infrared LED receiving array, an infrared emitting control circuit and an infrared receiving conditioning circuit. In the invention, the infrared emitting and receiving arrays all adopt an LED annular array structure; the emitting array is positioned at the inner ring and the receiving array is positioned at the outer ring; the light beam direction is vertical to the central axis of the ring, and the emitting light beam and the receiving light beam are positioned at the same plane. The low-angle annular infrared LED array sensor can be used for the detection and diagnosis on the distribution condition along the ring of the shape and physical characteristics of light transmission and half-light transmission objects.
