The invention relates to a measuring method for testing the end quenching test water spray height. Three sets of paired standard blocks are prepared, pieces of water-touching water moisture test paper are respectively pasted on the working end faces of the standard blocks, an end quenching machine is started, water injection nozzles are triggered to spray water to form water columns, high level standard blocks are hung on a rack of the end quenching machine gently, the working end faces with the water-touching water moisture test paper are arranged in a facing down way, the pieces of water-touching water moisture test paper immediately change color if the height of the water columns reach or exceed the working end faces of the high level standard blocks, thus a tester is reminded that the height of the water columns exceed the upper limit of the tolerance requirement, otherwise, the height of the water columns is within the tolerance requirement, the gauge principle of tolerance test control is utilized, the standard blocks with two different high and low standards are adopted, and the pieces of water-touching water moisture test paper are pasted on the standard blocks, thus the sprayed water columns can be intuitively sensitively displayed on the water-touching water moisture test paper.
