The invention discloses flame retardant timber and a preparation method of the flame retardant timber. The flame retardant timber comprises timber and a flame-resistant material and is characterized in that the flame retardant material comprises diammonium hydrogen phosphate, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate and a 13X molecular sieve, wherein the concentration is 15-20%. The flame retardant timber prepared with the formula and the method can be applied to the fields including furniture, packaging, construction, indoor and outdoor decoration and the like.
