The invention discloses a charge control agent, and belongs to the technological field of leather finish (mainly for aniline leather and nappa leather). The charge control agent is capable of solving a problem that mixing of anion resins with cationic resins is impossible. According to existing leather finishing technology, a cation blocking agent is used for bottom layer finishing, and then a cationic resin is used for top layer finishing. The addition of the charge control agent is capable of realizing organic combination of anion resins with cationic resins, so that no caking or solidification is caused. Leather modified by using the charge control agent is extremely soft after film forming. An application method of the charge control agent comprises following steps: firstly, a plurality of anion resins are mixed according to a ratio; secondly, according to a certain ratio, a neutral wax emulsion or a weak cationic wax emulsion is diluted with an appropriate amount of water; thirdly, cationic resins (weak) are added into the wax emulsion, and the charge control agent is obtained via full stirring; and fourth, the charge control agent is added into the anion resins slowly, and the mixture can be used after full stirring.
