Fusion implant for a facet joint comprises a support module (1) and a fusion module (2), wherein the fusion module (2) is arranged on the support module (1) and has a holder for transfacetal securing means (65), wherein the support module (1) comprises an expansion element (2, 3) and jaw elements (4, 4') which, on outer faces directed away from each other, have bearing surfaces (43) for the lamina (93), and which are arranged in a longitudinally movable manner on a guide, such that a distance between the fusion modules (6) can be modified by means of the expansion element. The support module forms a secure and precisely positionable anchoring means for the fusion module. Moreover, the support module provides an augmentation, such that therapy is also possible on vertebral bodies weakened by defects.
