According to the invention, the TA-XT2 texture analyzer is utilized, and the TPA classic evaluation method is adopted to evaluate the brittleness of tobacco leaves (shred), and the tobacco leaf brittleness detection method is established. The method is a beneficial supplementation for tobacco leaf physical property in the tobacco industry. With addition of the detection method, the external force received by the tobacco leaves during the processing process is known in a more comprehensive manner, so that the processing quality and the processing level can be improved easily.
