The invention relates to a detection method for an intelligent concentrator. The method comprises the detection steps of (1) placing the concentrator and an electric meter on a detection platform meter frame and connecting the circuit; (2) electrifying the concentrator, setting the IP (internet protocol), port number and APN (access point name) of a main station and the address of a terminal, and setting the operation parameters of the concentrator by the main station; (3) testing the protocol items of the concentrator, and proceeding the next step if the protocol items are qualified or retesting or debugging after overhaul if the protocol items are not qualified; (4) testing the sampling function error of the concentrator, proceeding the next step if the sampling error is smaller than 0.2%, and retesting or debugging after overhaul if the sampling error is more than or equal to 0.2%; (5) detecting the work state of the concentrator, proceeding the next step if the measured data item is normal, and debugging if the measured data item is a null value or wrong; and (6) finishing the operation if the detection result is normal, and returning the step (2) if the detection result is overproof. The detection method for the intelligent concentrator is capable of improving the efficiency and accuracy of the detection on the concentrator, and ensures the completeness and stability of the functions of a collecting terminal of the concentrator entering a power system.
