The invention discloses a gas well remote high-voltage well switching device and a control method thereof and belongs to the technical field of natural gas exploitation. The gas well remote high-voltage well switching device comprises a switch valve, a reducing valve and a first elastic piece, wherein the switch valve comprises a valve body, a valve cover, a valve core sleeve, and a valve core fixed with the reducing valve; the valve body is provided with a valve cavity, a gas outlet channel and a gas inlet channel, and the first end of the valve core sleeve and the valve cover and the valve cavity form a valve core sleeve upper cavity; the first elastic piece is fixed with the first end of the valve core sleeve and the valve cover; the valve core is operable to close or open the gas outlet channel, and the second end of the valve core sleeve is operable to prop against the valve core; the valve core upper cavity is formed between the first end of the reducing valve and the valve cover; the reducing valve is provided with a gas inlet and a gas outlet, the valve core sleeve can slide along the valve cavity to block or communicate the gas inlet channel and the gas inlet; and the valve core and the reducing valve can slide along the valve cavity to enable the gas inlet channel and the gas outlet channel to be blocked or closed, as a result, automatic switching of the gas well is remotely achieved at high voltage, and management and maintenance difficulty of the gas well as well as manpower and material resources are reduced.
