An external heat dissipation mechanism for an LED front steering lamp comprises a lens (1), a lamp shell (2), an aluminum based circuit board (3), heat conducting silicone ester (4), a driving power supply (5), an aluminum rear cover (6), an aluminum rear cover bottom plate (7), an aluminum rear cover tooth piece (8) and an LED light source (9), wherein the lens (1) is arranged on the lamp shell (2), the heat conducting silicone ester (4) is coated at the back of the aluminum based circuit board (3) which is arranged in an inner cavity of the lamp shell (2), the aluminum rear cover (6) clings onto the aluminum based circuit board (3), and the driving power supply (5) is mounted on the aluminum rear cover (6). The external heat dissipation mechanism is characterized in that the driving power supply (5) is arranged outside the lamp and connected with the aluminum based circuit board (3) through a lead. The external heat dissipation mechanism is simple in structure and can effectively prevent the adverse effects of low luminous intensity, serious light failure, damage of electronic components and the like of a high-power LED due to over-high current, and complaint and claim of customers are greatly decreased.
