The invention discloses a honeycomb catalyst unit which comprises a catalyst unit body for carrying catalytic active components, wherein catalyst holes are formed in the catalyst unit body; and the catalyst holes are hexagonal and are formed in the catalyst unit body in an array manner. The invention also discloses a honeycomb catalyst module which comprises at last two honeycomb catalyst units and an outer frame for encircling the honeycomb catalyst units, wherein fixing bands for fixing positions are arranged between the outer frames and the honeycomb catalyst units as well as between every two adjacent honeycomb catalyst units. The catalyst holes are hexagonal; therefore, the contact areas between smoke and the active components can be enlarged according to geometric characteristics; the smoke conversion efficiency is improved, and the volume using amount of a catalyst can be reduced; furthermore, by virtue of the stability of a hexagon, the strength of each catalyst unit can be effectively improved; and collapse caused by dust accumulation of the catalyst units during running is avoided.
