The invention discloses a method for detecting the internal resistance of a storage battery through inductor-capacitor series discharge. According to the method, turn-on and turn-off of a inductor-capacitor series circuit connected in parallel with the storage battery are controlled through a switch to produce variable current in the storage battery and induce the change of the end voltage of the storage battery, and the internal resistance of the storage battery is calculated according to the change relation between the current and the end voltage. The method can be applied to all occasions requiring off-line and on-line detection and monitoring of the internal resistance of the storage battery; and because a capacitor is connected in series in a discharge circuit, the short-circuit risk produced when a switch is out of control or is disturbed and cannot be turned off is avoided, and the safety is high. Meanwhile, the principle and the processing method are simple and easy to realize.
