The present air conditioning device for a vehicle comprises: a compressor (21) for compressing the refrigerant; internal heat exchangers (22, 24) for exchanging heat between the refrigerant and air which is supplied into the vehicle interior; an external heat exchanger (23) for exchanging heat between the refrigerant and the outside air which is the air outside the vehicle interior; a battery (5) installed in the vehicle; a battery heat exchanger (29) for allowing at least a portion of the refrigerant, which flows from the external heat exchanger to the compressor, to flow therethrough to exchange heat between the refrigerant and the battery; a flow restriction adjustment section (30) disposed at a position in the refrigerant path, the position being located upstream of the battery heat exchanger, and capable of adjusting the flow of the refrigerant; and a control unit (40) for controlling the flow restriction adjustment section. The control unit controls the flow of the refrigerant through the flow restriction adjustment section on the basis of the heat exchange margin which represents the thermal margin of the external heat exchanger relative to the internal heat exchanger and on the basis of the result of detection by a temperature sensor.
