The invention discloses a novel weight throw protective cage. The novel weight throw protective cage is provided with a light-emitting structure besides a fence mesh, wherein a plurality of grids and nodes are arranged on the fence mesh. The light-emitting structure is composed of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), a power source, a switch and an electric wire. The number of the LEDs is plural. The LEDs are all evenly fixed on the node positions on the outer side of the fence mesh. Thus, though a hammer is thrown onto the fence mesh, the LEDs are not damaged. Both the power source and the switch are placed in a control room of a playground, one part of the electric wire is wound on the fence mesh to be connected with the LEDs, and the other part of the electric wire penetrates through the lower portion of the fence mesh and the ground of the playground to be connected with the power source and the switch in the control room of the playground. The novel weight throw protective cage is simple in structure, capable of increasing the viewing effect of a weight throw competition, and suitable for all weight throw protective cages.
