The invention provides a laser compound enhancing technology for the surface of a valve rod of a nuclear power valve, which comprises the following steps of: cladding a layer of nickel base alloy powder as a base layer on a bearing position of the valve rod of a nuclear power valve by a carbon dioxide laser; cladding a layer of carbon tungsten alloy powder which is a harder surface material as a surface layer; and performing laser remelting of the surface of the cladding coating by use of a high-power Nd:YAG laser. Meanwhile, the surface compound enhancement of the valve rod of the nuclear power valve is realized by taking argon as a protective gas so that the valve rod has longer service life and better friction resistance. The technology provided by the invention not only can obtain a highly wear-resistant and highly corrosion-resistant enhancement layer on a working surface of the valve rod of the nuclear power valve, reduce the scrappage of spare parts and save the production cost, but also can realize longer service life and more-balanced operation performance of the valve rod of the nuclear power valve and avoid the jitter caused by corrosion and abrasion of the working surface of the valve rod of the nuclear power valve; and the technology is suitable for processing a new valve rod of a nuclear power valve and for repairing the scrapped valve rod of the nuclear power valve.
