The present invention provides a demethylated venlafaxine benzoate compound clathrate and a preparation method thereof, and an application of the clathrate in drug preparations. With the clathrate, dissolubility of the demethylated venlafaxine benzoate compound can be significantly improved, influence on drug dissolubility by the pH value can be reduced, preparation development is easily achieved, bioavailability can be improved, and individual difference of oral drug absorption can be reduced.
