The invention relates to a method for improving recovery efficiency of crude oil which is recovered from a oil deposit including at least a porous and penetrable stratum, wherein the stratum comprises sandstones and at least a kind of mineral whose potential is negative under a oil deposit condition, and crude oil and connate water exist in the holes of the stratum. The method comprises: injecting water-containing displacing fluid from surfaces of the holes of the stratum into the stratum, wherein a total dissolved solid (TDS) content of the water-containing displacing fluid is in a range of 200-10,000 ppm and a ratio of a total content of multivalent cations of the water-containing displacing fluid and a total content of multivalent cations of the connate water is lower than 1, and the water-containing displacing fluid is injected into the stratum during a sencondary recovery.
