The present invention relates to a Roberval-type load cell. A load cell (1) comprises: an upper beam section (2) extending in the horizontal direction; a lower beam section (3) extending in parallel to the upper beam section (2) under the upper beam section (2); a fixed section (4) that connects one end of the upper beam section (2) and one end of the lower beam section (3) and is fixed to a stationary body; a movable section (5) that connects the other end of the upper beam section (2) and the other end of the lower beam section (3) and is displaced vertically upon receiving the vertical load; and a cylindrical stopper member (7) having a circular cross section. A first circular hole (9) having a circular cross section is formed in the fixed section (4), and a second circular hole (10) having a circular cross section and concentric with the first circular hole (9) is formed in the movable section (5). A proximal section of the stopper member (7) is fitted and fixed in the first circular hole (9). A distal section of the stopper member (7) is positioned inside the second circular hole (10) such that a predetermined gap is generated between the stopper member (7) and the inner surface of the second circular hole (10). With this configuration, the damage by overload is prevented.
