The invention discloses an inside wrap post coupler with an assembly assist. Specifically, the post coupler 21 includes coupler flanges 50, 51, reverse bend flanges 54, 55 extending therealong and tapered end projections extending longitudinally from said coupler flanges 50, 51 defining ends of the coupler 21, the length of the reverse bend flanges 54, 55 being less than the overall coupler length between ends of the rounded end projections 58, 59 and the reverse bend flanges 54, 55 preferably oriented along outer surfaces of said coupler flanges 50, 51.
