The invention discloses a photosensitive resin composition for a color filter and a color filter using the same. The photosensitive resin composition for a color filter includes (A) an acrylic-based binder resin including a structural unit represented by the following Chemical Formula 1; (B) an acrylic-based photopolymerizable monomer; (C) a photopolymerization initiator; (D) a colorant; and (E) a solvent. In the above Chemical Formula, each definition of R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> is the same as defined in the detailed description. The photosensitive resin composition for a color filter according to embodiments may have excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance and thus excellent hole and patterning properties, and accordingly it can be used to form a color filter on a TFT array substrate to provide a high aperture ratio and a high contrast ratio.
