The invention relates to a method for improving the strength utilization rate of para-aramid fiber in reinforcing an optic cable and belongs to the field of high molecular material. The method is characterized by comprising the steps that low modulus para-aramid is subjected to preheating drying, high temperature tensioning and thermal treatment, cooling, oiling and winding. By adopting the method, the strength utilization rate of para-aramid fiber in reinforcing the optic cable is remarkably improved by at least 5%, so that the method for improving the strength utilization rate of para-aramid fiber in reinforcing the optic cable can be applied in large scale.
