The invention relates to a dual clutch for coupling an input shaft on the engine side with a first output shaft on the transmission side and/or a second output shaft on the transmission side, comprising a first clutch (16) with a first pressure plate (18) that is axially movable relative to a first counter plate (14) for coupling a first clutch disc (20) connected to a first output shaft. A first spring element (50) is connected to the first pressure plate (18) for axially moving the first pressure plate (18) into a first starting position. A second spring element (62) is connected to the second pressure plate (28) for axially moving the second pressure plate (28) into a second starting position. According to the invention, the first spring element (50) is at least partially, preferably completely, arranged radially within a radial outer edge (66) of the first friction area (65) and/or the second spring element (62) is at least partially, preferably completely, arranged radially within a radial outer edge (72) of the second friction area (70). Since the spring element is not disposed on the radial outer edge of the pressure plate and the counter plate, the installation space for the spring element in the radial direction is no longer required. The installation space thus gained can be used in order to reduce the size of the dual clutch in the radial direction and/or to increase the size of the counter plate, the pressure plate and/or the clutch disc radially outwards.
