The present invention belongs to the field of cell transplantation. In particular, the present invention provides methods for producing nerve cells which can be used in treating injuries with neural defunctionalization from stem cells, wherein said stem cells are mesenchymal stem cells originated from human body, preferably placenta mesenchymal stem cells originated from human body, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, adipose mesenchymal stem cells and liver mesenchymal stem cells. Uses of said methods and the nerve cells produced by the methods in preparing medicines for treating injuries with neural defunctionalization, and in treating injuries with neural defunctionalization are also provided. Methods for treating injuries with neural defunctionalization are further provided.
