The invention provides a method for acquiring a wireless network utilization rate and network management equipment. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring a ratio DVR of data service telephone traffic to voice service telephone traffic, average available traffic channels (TCHS) in each cell, average available packet data channels (PDCHS) in each cell, average voice service volume KV of each voice service channel, average data service volume KD of each PDCH, an unbalanced coefficient betaV when the voice service cell is busy and an unbalanced coefficient betaD when the service cell is busy; and calculating the target network utilization rate alpha1 through a formula (1). Aiming at the conditions that the voice services and data services exist in a high-configuration network simultaneously, the target network utilization rate of the system can be calculated; and moreover, the calculation process is performed on the basis of statistic analysis of the voice service telephone traffic and the data service telephone traffic, the method is simple in calculation and accurate in result, and the target network resource configuration of the system can be accurately reflected.
