The invention discloses an on-line checking method and an on-line checking system for a relay protection setting value. The method comprises the following steps of: automatically acquiring a setting sheet, generating a secondary equipment model according to the specification, mapping a primary equipment model and the secondary equipment model, matching parameters of the secondary equipment model and a field protection device, automatically calling the setting value of the field device in real time on line, and comparing. Compared with a manual checking method, the method has the advantages that a large quantity of manpower, material resources and time are saved, the field condition of the relay protection setting value is known in real time on line, human errors produced when the setting sheet is manually executed are effectively avoided, accurate and valid execution of the relay protection setting value is ensured, and the method has significance for improving the relay protection operation management level of a power grid.
