The invention relates to a preparation method of 4-phenylamino-3-pentenyl-2-ketone and derivatives thereof. The preparation method is characterized by comprising the following steps: by using trifluoroacetic acid as a catalyst, reacting the raw material aniline or derivatives thereof and excessive acetylacetone or acetoacetic ester in an organic solvent at 70-80 DEG C for 5-25 minutes, carrying out reduced pressure distillation, and purifying to obtain the 4-phenylamino-3-pentenyl-2-ketone or derivatives thereof. By using the preparation method provided by the invention, the target product yield is up to 80%, the reaction time is only 5-25 minutes, the steps are simple and convenient to operate, and the added acetylacetone, acetoacetic ester and trifluoroacetic acid can be easily recycled and reutilized, thereby saving the cost and avoiding the environment pollution.
