A balance pad (34) for use with a tire (10) is disclosed. The pad (34) comprises an outer layer (32) including a dynamically vulcanized alloy, which comprises a resin as a continuous phase and at least a partially vulcanized rubber as a dispersed phase; and an inner layer (36) including a rubber or plastic compound that is bonded to the outer layer (32), wherein the outer layer (32) is capable of being bonded to an inner surface (26) of a tire innerliner (24) which includes a dynamically vulcanized alloy having a resin as a continuous phase and at least a partially vulcanized rubber as a dispersed phase. Also, a tire (10) comprising such a balance pad (34) and a respective method of balancing a tire (10) is described.
