The disclosed communication network (10) comprises: a first electronic control unit (14a); a second electronic control unit (14b); a bus (16) that connects the first and second electronic control units; and a third electronic control unit (14c) that is connected to a branch path (20) branching from the bus (16) and can communicate with the first electronic control unit (14a) or the second electronic control unit (14b). The first and second electronic control units (14a and 14b) are terminated by a termination circuit (22) tailored to the characteristic impedance of the bus (16). The third electronic control unit (14c) is connected to the branch path (20), via a connector, at an interconnection point provided on the substrate on which the third electronic control unit is mounted. A conducting wire (24) for eliminating waveform distortion is also connected to the branch path via a connector. This makes it possible, with a simple configuration, to eliminate waveform distortion in signals between electronic control units connected to a bus and branch path.
