The invention discloses a spent fuel storage grillwork which comprises a stainless steel framework prepared from structural sheets, wherein, each structural sheet is provided with a plurality of grooves at an active section corresponding to a spent fuel assembly, the spacing between two adjacent grooves is far smaller than the height of the grooves, and neutron absorber with a dimension matching to the grooves is arranged in each groove and is sealed in the groove by a stainless steel plate with a dimension matching to the groove. According to the invention, the neutron absorber is divided into small units and enwrapped in the structural sheets which compose the framework, which enables a manufacturing process to be greatly simplified since the neutron absorber does not need to be specially manufactured, thereby improving density of the spent fuel storage grillwork and reducing manufacture cost for the spent fuel storage grillwork.
