A washing apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to improve washing performance by occurring friction between laundry and washing water by installing a lifter in a drum inside in order to raise the laundry up to a fixed height and to drop while a drum rotating. A washing apparatus(100) comprises a cabinet(1), a tub(2) which is included in a cabinet and stores rinse water, a drum(3) which is rotatably formed inside the tub, a condensation duct(4) which dehumidifies air in the drum by condensing the air and re-supplies the air to the drum inside, a drain part which discharges the rinse water saved in the tub, and a condensed water supplying unit(7) which supplies the discharged water discharged through the drain part to the condensation duct as condensed water and comprises a storage tank(71) storing the drain water.
