The invention provides a media access control (MAC) protocol of distributed resource reservation combined with enhanced distribution coordinate access (EDCA) under an Ad Hoc mode of a wireless local area network. The protocol comprises the following steps that: 1) a node reserves a channel; and 2) the node performs access control judgment. The node reserves a transmission opportunity (TXOP) through a two-way handshake mechanism, and the reserved TXOP is used for transmitting high-priority service. Once a TXOP is reserved successfully, the node does not need to compete for an access channel. Meanwhile, an access control algorithm is added on the reservation basis, so that the quality of service of each high-priority service reserved successfully is guaranteed. The access control on the service is performed inside the node by each node, and is not finished by controlling a centre node, so the completely distributed access control algorithm is realized. The protocol is applicable to the Ad Hoc mode of the wireless local area network.
